The CHO-K1-DP2/Gα15-Stable Cell Line is engineered to stably express the DP2 (prostaglandin D receptor 2) and the Gα15 protein.
Drug screening and biological assays
PTGDR2, also known as CRTh2 or DP2, is a G-protein coupled receptor that binds PGD2 and other prostaglandin-like molecules. It is primarily expressed on immune cells such as Th2 cells, eosinophils, and basophils. Activation of PTGDR2 by PGD2 leads to the recruitment and activation of these immune cells, contributing to the pathogenesis of allergic diseases such as asthma and atopic dermatitis. PTGDR2 antagonists are being developed as potential treatments for these conditions.
