DMPK
Drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) is a scientific discipline within drug discovery, which evaluates the safety and efficacy of drug candidates before they enter clinical trials. DMPK studies, accompanied by absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity analysis (ADMET), are the basis for optimizing compounds so that bioavailability, drug-drug interaction (DDI), and related risks can be evaluated. Assessment of DMPK minimizes the attrition rate of drug candidates and increases the efficiency of drug discovery overall. Another benefit of DMPK studies during drug discovery and development is that it allows chemists and analysts to achieve reasonable structural modifications such that pharmacokinetic properties and efficacy of the drug can be improved.
At Creative Bioarray, our DMPK department offers high quality services and a wide range of standard in vitro and in vivo assays covering early discovery stage as well as more advanced compound profiling. Our expertise in the field also makes us the best partner for designing and developing tailored in vitro or in vivo studies.
Creative Bioarray has a team of passionate scientists with extensive industrial experience in drug discovery and development to help with study design, data interpretation, study planning and execution in a timely fashion. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your projects and we hope you will find that we can meet your research needs.
