The Human CTR (Luc) BHK 21 Reporter Cell was engineered to express the CREB signaling response element and the full-length human calcitonin receptor (CTR) (Uniprot: P30988-2). This cell line can drive luciferase expression in response to amylin receptor (AMYR) agonists or amylin stimulation. In the absence of agonists or amylin, the CTR receptor is inactive, resulting in low luminescence. In the presence of agonists or amylin, dose-dependent CTR pathway-activated luminescence can be detected.
Screen for AMYR agonists that can bind and activate CTR.
CTR (Calcitonin Receptor) is a G protein-coupled receptor that binds calcitonin and regulates calcium homeostasis.
