Stable NK-92MI clone expressing exogenous human FCGR3A amino acid bearing V158 mutation
Drug screening and biological assays
The Antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), is an important mechanism of immune defenses, an effector cell of immune system, especially the natural killer cells, actively kill a target cell whose membrane-surface antigens have been bound by specific antibodies. NK92MI line is an immortal natural killer cell line but absence of Fc receptors CD16a, which bind to the Fc part of an IgG antibody. After exogenous expressing human high affinity FC receptor mutant CD16a-V158, the NK92MI line can kill the target cell in ADCC assay after the specific antibody has bound to the antigen in the surface of a target cell.
