The CHO/Human CD16a (158V) Stable Cell Line has been engineered to express the full-length human CD16a receptor (Uniprot: P08637) with a Valine (V) mutation at amino acid 158 and varying levels of CD16a (158V) expression (High, Medium, Low). This cell line can be used to test whether agonist antibodies enhance their agonistic activity in a CD16a (158V)-dependent manner.
Useful for cell-based CD16a (158V) binding assay
The FCGR3A gene encodes a low-affinity receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulin G (IgG). It is expressed on the surface of natural killer (NK) cells, macrophages, and some T cells. This receptor plays a crucial role in antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), where it binds to the Fc portion of antibodies attached to target cells, leading to the activation of immune cells and the destruction of the target cells. It is also involved in the regulation of immune responses and inflammation.
