Background
B7-H4 (VTCN1) is an inhibitory immune checkpoint molecule expressed on tumor cells and macrophages. It suppresses T cell proliferation and cytokine production by inhibiting TCR signaling. B7-H4 overexpression correlates with poor cancer prognosis and immune suppression.
