The Human Recombinant CHO-K1/CCKB Stable Cell Line has been designed to stably overexpress the Cholecystokinin Receptor gene (CCKB). This stable cell line is intended for measuring the in vitro function of CCKB.
Drug screening and biological assays
The CCKB gene, also known as CCKBR, encodes the cholecystokinin B receptor, a G protein - coupled receptor. It is widely distributed in the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract. In the brain, activation of CCKBR by CCK is involved in regulating anxiety, pain perception, and appetite. In the gastrointestinal tract, it regulates gastric acid secretion, gastric emptying, and intestinal motility.
