A CHO-K1 cell line has been developed to stably overexpress human receptor activity modifying protein 3 (RAMP3) and calcitonin receptor (CTR) on its surface. Similar to other amylin receptor configurations, these receptors are composed of a CTR combined with one of three receptor activity-modifying proteins (RAMP1, RAMP2, RAMP3), resulting in three subtypes (AMY1, AMY2, AMY3).
