The CHO-K1-PRLHR-Stable Cell Line is engineered to stably express the PRLHR (prolactin-releasing hormone receptor). This cell line is designed to facilitate the study of PRLHR-mediated signaling pathways.
Drug screening and biological assays
PRLHR, or the prolactin-releasing hormone receptor, is a receptor for prolactin-releasing hormone (PRLH). PRLH is involved in the regulation of prolactin secretion from the anterior pituitary gland. PRLHR activation leads to increased prolactin release, which plays a role in lactation, reproduction, and immune function. Dysregulation of PRLHR signaling may contribute to disorders such as hyperprolactinemia.
