The HEK293-FP/Gα15-Stable Cell Line is designed to stably express the FP (prostaglandin F receptor) and the Gα15 protein.
Drug screening and biological assays
PTGFR, or the prostaglandin F receptor, is a G-protein coupled receptor that binds prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α). PGF2α is involved in various physiological processes, including smooth muscle contraction, uterine contraction during labor, and the regulation of ocular pressure. PTGFR activation leads to increased intracellular calcium levels and smooth muscle contraction, making it a target for drugs used to treat conditions such as glaucoma and premature labor.
