The Human 5-HT1A (Luc) HEK293 Reporter Cell was engineered to express the CREB signaling response element, the full-length human 5-HT1A receptor (Uniprot: P08908), and mGFP using a viral P2A self-cleaving peptide. Stimulation with a human 5-HT1A agonist can drive CREB-mediated luminescence. Inhibition of activated 5-HT1A signaling by corresponding inhibitors results in decreased luminescence.
Screen for 5-HT1A agonist.
5-HT1A (also known as HTR1A) is a serotonin receptor subtype involved in regulating mood, anxiety, and cognitive functions. It is a target for antidepressant and anxiolytic drugs.
