The Human Activin RII (Luc) HEK293 Reporter Cell was designed to express the Smad signaling response element driving luciferase expression. Stimulation with multiple ligands, including activin, myostatin, and GDF-11, can trigger Smad-mediated luminescence. Neutralization of the ligand-receptor interaction by corresponding antibodies results in decreased luminescence.
Screen for neutralizing antibodies blocking the ligand-receptor interaction.
Activin RII is a receptor for activins, which are involved in regulating cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. It plays a role in various physiological processes, including reproduction and development.
