The HEK293/FcRn (FCGRT & B2M) Stable Cell Line was engineered to stably express exogenous human FcRn (FCGRT&B2M), with FCGRT (AA sequence: Ala 24 - Ala 365, Protein Acc.#: P55899-1) and B2M (AA sequence: Ile 21 - Met 119, Protein Acc.#: P61769-1).
Binding assay by FACS and cell based ELISA.
The FCGRT gene encodes the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn), which forms a heterodimer with β2-microglobulin (encoded by the B2M gene). FcRn is expressed in various tissues, including the placenta, intestine, and endothelial cells. It plays a critical role in the transport and protection of IgG across epithelial barriers and in the placenta. FcRn binds to IgG at acidic pH in endosomes and releases it at neutral pH, allowing for the recycling and long half-life of IgG in the circulation. It also participates in the presentation of antigens to immune cells.
