The Human IL-5 R alpha/CD131 (Luc) HEK293 Reporter Cell has been designed to express the STAT5 signaling response element, as well as the full-length human IL-5 R alpha (Uniprot: Q01344-1) and CD131 (Uniprot: P32927-1) receptors. Stimulation with human IL-5 protein activates the IL-5/IL-5 R alpha interaction, driving STAT5-mediated luminescence. Blocking IL-5 binding to IL-5 R alpha with either anti-IL-5 or anti-IL-5 R alpha antibodies reduces luminescence.
Screen for anti-human IL-5 or anti-human IL-5 R alpha neutralizing antibody.
IL - 5 R alpha (Interleukin 5 Receptor Alpha) pairs with the common beta chain (CD131) to form the interleukin - 5 receptor complex. IL - 5 is important for the growth, differentiation, and activation of eosinophils, and is involved in allergic responses and asthma.
