The Human TGF-beta R (Luc) HEK293 Reporter Cell was designed to express the Smad signaling response element driving luciferase expression. Stimulation with TGF-beta (TGF-beta 1/2/3) protein can trigger Smad-mediated luminescence. Neutralization of the ligand-receptor interaction by corresponding antibodies results in decreased luminescence.
Screen for neutralizing antibodies blocking the ligand-receptor interaction.
TGF - beta R (Transforming Growth Factor - beta Receptor) includes type I (TGF - beta R1) and type II (TGF - beta R2) receptors. They form a heteromeric receptor complex that binds transforming growth factor - beta (TGF - beta) cytokines. TGF - beta signaling is involved in cell growth, differentiation, apoptosis, and immune regulation, and plays important roles in development, tissue homeostasis, and disease processes.
