The Human TPO R (Luc) HEK293 Reporter Cell was engineered to express the STAT5 signaling response element and the full-length human TPO R receptor (Uniprot: P40238-1). This cell line can drive luciferase expression in response to TPO R agonists or TPO. In the absence of agonists or TPO, the TPO R receptor is inactive, resulting in low luminescence. In the presence of agonists or TPO, dose-dependent TPO R pathway-activated luminescence can be detected.
Screen for agonists that can bind and activate TPO R
TPO R (Thrombopoietin Receptor), also known as MPL (Myeloproliferative Leukemia Virus Oncogene), is a cell - surface receptor that binds thrombopoietin (TPO). TPO is the primary regulator of platelet production, and TPO R signaling is essential for the development and maintenance of megakaryocytes and platelets.
