The HEK293-IL-12 Responsive STAT4 Luciferase Reporter-Stable Cell Line has been engineered to express firefly luciferase under the control of the interferon-γ-activated sequence of the interferon regulatory factor 1 (GAS-IRF1) promoter. It also expresses human STAT4 and the human IL-12 receptor complex. IL-12 activity in this cell line can be monitored by measuring luciferase activity.
Drug screening and biological assays
STAT4 (Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 4) is a member of the STAT family of transcription factors. It is activated by cytokines such as interleukin - 12 and plays a crucial role in the differentiation of T helper 1 (Th1) cells, immune responses against intracellular pathogens, and the development of autoimmune diseases.
