The HEK293-TP-Stable Cell Line is engineered to stably express the TP (thromboxane A2 receptor).
Drug screening and biological assays
TBXA2R, or the thromboxane A2 receptor, is a G-protein coupled receptor that binds thromboxane A2 (TXA2). TXA2 is a potent vasoconstrictor and platelet aggregator. Activation of TBXA2R by TXA2 leads to platelet aggregation, vasoconstriction, and bronchoconstriction, contributing to the pathogenesis of thrombosis, hypertension, and asthma. TBXA2R antagonists are used to treat these conditions.
