Stable CHOK1 cell line expressing exogenous human CLDN4 gene
Drug screening and biological assays
CLDN4, also known as claudin-4, is a transmembrane protein belonging to claudin family, which is essential for the formation and maintenance of epithelial tight junctions. Altered expression of claudin-4 may play a role in internal organ development and function during pre- and postnatal life. This gene can also be used as a marker for distinguishing malignant mesothelioma from lung cancer and uterine serous carcinoma.
