Background

Siglec8, also named as SAF2, is a transmembrane protein belonging to siglec family, and mainly expressed in human eosinophils, mast cells. Recent studies show that siglec8 is involved in allergic disease, and its monodonal antibody, lirentelimab has been evaluated as a treatment for eosinophilic gastritis and duodenitis ina randomized dinical trial.
