This cell line is a Jurkat-based reporter cell line engineered to express the NFAT response element-driven luciferase expression system and the full-length human CD16a (Uniprot: P08637) with a Valine (V) mutation at amino acid 158. Compared to CD16a-158F, it has a higher affinity for IgG1 and IgG3 isotypes. It is used to evaluate the ADCC activity of antibodies in the presence of corresponding target cells.
Determination of ADCC activity induced by antibodies
CD16a is a low-affinity Fc gamma receptor with polymorphisms affecting its affinity for IgG. The 158V variant has higher affinity for IgG.
