Background

NTRK1, also named Tropomyosin receptor kinase A(TrkA), is the high affinity catalytic receptor for the neurotrophy and play a major role in neuronal differentiation and survival, was originally found in congenital fibrosarcoma and subsequently found in secretory breast cancer and other type cancer, the identification of NTRK1 fusion genes as driver genes has led to the rapid development of anticancer therapeutics agents. Ba/F3, a murine interleukin-3 dependent pro-B cell line is increasingly popular as a model system for assessing both the potency and downstream signaling of kinase oncogenes, and the ability of small-molecule kinase inhibitors to block kinase activity.
